Everyone in the church got quiet as the music began. All eyes turned to the grand doors at the back, which slowly swung open.
Abigail and Ariel, who were dressed in delicate powder blue frocks with matching flower crowns, stepped in, giggling softly. They were clutching the small baskets of petals, scattering them along the aisle they walked.
Right behind them, Marissa was walking, holding a bouquet. Her bridesmaid dress was a shade deeper than the flower girls’ attire. Her eyes were flitting around, taking in the guests and the path covered with flowers ahead.
As Abi and Ariel reached the altar and turned to the side, Marissa also stopped at some distance from the girls.
The congregation stood up and Sophie appeared at the doorway, radiant in her wedding gown, holding Rafael’s arm.
Flint was supposed to do the deed, but he got sick and had to attend the wedding in a wheelchair. He himself recommended Rafael to give away Sophie.
A small smile tugged at Sophie’s lips, as she glanced at Joseph through the veil. Due to Rafael’s absence from the stage, Dean had to take up the responsibility of being his best man.
Sophie’s gaze might be fixed on the groom who was waiting for her on the stage beside the priest. But Rafael’s focus wasn’t entirely on the bride or the groom or the altar. His eyes stayed on Marissa who was now standing near the stage.
Marissa turned her head slightly, her brows furrowing for a brief moment.
"Not now, love!" she mouthed silently while locking her gaze with him. Rafael’s eyes had gone intense. Her one look, one touch, and one word were enough to harden his member.
Each time he looked at her, he wanted to fu*ck her as hard as he could. Every time he would get close to her, all he wanted to do was take her into his arms and hold her tight to his chest.
"Rafael. Can you help me climb the stage?" Sophie’s gritted voice reached him from behind the veil, "You can stare at Marissa later. Urgh!"
Rafael nodded quickly and gave a fist bump to Joseph, "Take care of her, man!"
It warmed Sophie’s heart. Rafael was her true friend. She always thought of him as a brother.
As the priest began to speak, Rafael was supposed to go and sit in the front lane of the audience, but he preferred to stand beside his wife.
Leaning close, he whispered, his tone playful, "Hey, my adorable wife."
Marissa stiffened, her eyes darting to him before focusing back on the altar, "Sophie can kill us!" she hissed under her breath, her fingers gripping the bouquet she held.
He chuckled softly, standing beside her with that same air of ease that was part of his personality.
He also peeled his gaze away from his wife’s face and tried to be attentive to the ceremony. Joseph and Sophie were staring at each other with so much love. He hooted along with Marissa when the priest asked Joseph to kiss the bride.
Everyone was cheering for the couple and Rafael felt a finger touching his hand slightly. He looked down and found Marissa holding his hand gently.
"Marissa Sinclair," he called her name softly, and Marissa couldn’t stop herself from rolling her eyes.
Every time he used to call her name like that, only one sentence came out of his mouth after that. frёewebnoѵēl.com
And that was... I love you.
This time too she thought the same. However, she wasn’t ready for the words that she heard from him.
