George was buttoning his shirt while glancing at himself in the mirror. Aniya had just left this afternoon and now he was getting excited for this date as if they were meeting after such a long time.
Until now, he had somewhat guessed she was a sensitive, funny, and intelligent girl. Too bad that she couldn’t attend school.
He quickly went to his nightstand when his phone started ringing, "Hey! Ariel! What’s up!"
"University sucks, George!" Ariel groaned in frustration. George had to press his lips to fight back his smile. Everyone knew Ariel wasn’t fond of reading course books. She was going to university to take over her father’s Kanderton company.
Unlike her, her brother Alexander Sinclair was passionate about books. Though he was not nerdy and knew how to have fun too.
"Hmm. I know," and that reminded him again about his thesis that he needed to submit but now it was getting postponed because he couldn’t think straight in Anaya Jakes’s presence.
"Why don’t you come over here, G? Spend one or two days with me. Angela is also getting bored," Angela was Ariel’s childhood friend and was crazy about Alexander Sinclair who was a perfect replica of his father.
"Oh. If Angela is getting bored, perhaps you should call Alex... I guess," he teased while slipping the watch onto his wrist.
"Shut up! I want you here for myself. You do know how much I love you," Placing his phone between his cheek and shoulder, he quickly went for his cufflinks.
"Umm hmm. I know that," he uttered busily, growing a little conscious as he was running out of time.
"Are you with someone?" she asked him curiously, "Your answers are too short!"
George smiled guiltily, "No, Ariel. Right now I’m alone."
But I wasn’t alone last night or this afternoon. In fact, she was with me this whole damn weekend.
"Hey, George! What’s going on? Is everything alright?" Ariel’s voice snapped him back to the present.
"Yeah... everything is alright... I’m just getting ready to attend a dinner," he brushed his hair back casually.
"Oh. A business dinner? Or a date?" he could detect mischievousness in her voice.
He heaved a heavy sigh before answering her, "It’s a date."
"What! It’s a girl! You moron! When were you planning to tell me?"
His ears started ringing with her screams. He had to move away his phone for a while and shut one eyelid to bear the impact, "Whoa. Cool down, Ariel. I’ll tell you everything but right now I really need to go, sweetheart."
Aniya had asked him not to pick her up from the hostel gate because she was planning to walk down the block where he would be waiting.
"Fine!" she snapped, "But do remember. This isn’t over!"
And George knew Ariel Sinclair wasn’t serious.
***
"Oh, my God! It’s too short!" Aniya muttered while tugging the hem of her dress with a deep frown.

I was into the story but then the translator who was translating it for whatever language to English stopped translating half the words are half English and another language it's very hard to follow a book when you can't understand what the written word is translators need to do better...
