With her limited exposure to the screen, Anaya had never seen such a giant and astounding poolside, even in movies or on TV.
Deep down, she was angry at Valerie and Alaric. They snatched her childhood. She deserved so much more, and what did they make her do?
They treated her worse than a maid. Even a maid had rights in the country.
"Hey, Anaya. You alright?" Marissa waved her hand close to her face, "You seem far away. Missing someone?" She asked her naughtily.
Yes. I miss George. I miss him every moment of my life, but I don’t want to be remembered as a storm that destroyed the happiness of your family.
"Girls! Here is your coffee," Rafael came out carrying a tray and placed it on the small round table.
Just one hour back, they had dinner, and after that, Marissa suggested they should have coffee at the poolside. However, Anaya got a little conscious.
The couple deserved some privacy, and she was glued to their ass since this noon.
"I think... I should have this coffee in my room," she got on her feet and picked up the cup.
Rafael, who was about to sit beside his wife, stopped midway, "Why? Are you tired?"
"Yeah," Aniya let out a fake yawn, "I think so," She raised her shoulder. She could see disappointment evident on Marissa’s face, and Aniya felt guilt taking over her heart, "I ... I think..." she pointed to her chair, "this chair... is not very comfortable to sit for long."
"I can ask someone to bring a couch for you," Marissa quickly dialed a number on the phone, "Ragnar. We need a couch here. Can you arrange that? Yeah. Thanks."
Aniya tried to smile. No one in her life ever showed her this much care. It seemed like they were enjoying her company after all.
Maybe I’m getting conscious for nothing. She thought to herself with a smile and held the hot coffee to her cheek, relaxing on the comfortable couch.
"Alright. Taste test!" Rafael announced, motioning towards her coffee cup, "Tell me how it is."
Aniya smelled the frothy coffee and closed her eyes. It smelled like a warm hug.
"Honest opinion, Anaya!" she heard Rafael’s voice and took a sip from her cup then looked up, her lips curving into a small smile, "It’s really good."
Marissa gasped, "You’re lying, Anaya, " She then took a sip from her cup as well. free𝑤ebnovel.com
Aniya shook her head, "No, really! It’s good."
Rafael grinned victoriously, "Told you."
Marissa groaned and rolled her eyes, "Fine! I agree. It IS good!"
Rafael leaned into his wife, "Say it. Say it, that I’m better than you."
Marissa placed her palm over his face and pushed him back, "There. That’s all you are getting right now."
Aniya didn’t realize that she was grinning from ear to ear while watching their banter. Her nostrils flared, and this time, she couldn’t control the yawn.

"She has this uncanny resemblance to you," Rafael told his wife whose head was leaning against his shoulder.
