Marissa and Rafael exchanged glances, stunned by what they were seeing. Ariel was also rooted to the spot.
"You... you two know each other?" Marissa muttered under her breath, but George didn’t respond. He was holding Anaya as if his life depended on it, his arms were wrapped tightly around her.
Abigail stood frozen, her hands trembling at her sides. She didn’t push him away, but she didn’t hug him back either. Her breath hitched, and for a moment, she wasn’t sure if she was dreaming.
"I... I almost went crazy searching for you," He told her in a low voice, "You’ve no idea how long I’ve been looking for you."
She felt his lips on her head, "I won’t let you disappear again. Do you have any idea what you put me through?"
Rafael made a face when he heard George mumbling something to Abigail, not audible to anyone in the room. He stepped forward, watching them in exasperation, "Can you let my daughter go? You are blocking her oxygen, man!"
This time, George heard him. His body stiffened, and he jerked back as if waking up from a trance. His hands dropped to his sides as he stared at Abigail.
He was trying hard to control his breathing, "I..." he swallowed while struggling to find words.
Abigail blinked at him as she tried to hide behind Rafael.
"You two already know each other?" Ariel asked them.
Before George could say anything, Abigail’s voice echoed in the room, "No. Not exactly. I worked at Star Corps. So, he kind of ..." she shrugged, "know me as an employee."
George Donovan clenched his jaw tightly. The girl he was searching for like crazy was still trying to avoid him.
He let out a shaky breath, his eyes never leaving hers.
"You worked in Star Corps?" Marissa asked her daughter with a smile, "That will be good for your CV, love. What were you hired for?"
Abigail hesitated and then met her mother’s eyes with a brave smile, "Maid. I was a cleaner at Star Corps."

They had dinner in tense silence. Nobody seemed to take it well that the Sinclair heiress used to clean windows and furniture at the Star Corps.
Ariel’s gaze kept shooting between her sister and George. There was something odd going on between them, and she wasn’t able to place her finger on it.
George was the CEO of the Star Corps, and Abigail was the maid. Still, he seemed serious enough to search for her.
Abigail’s eyes remained on her plate while eating, but George’s eyes kept darting in her direction.
As if making sure that she wouldn’t disappear again.
"So... how does it feel that the girl who was wiping the windows of your office is actually a Sinclair?" Ariel asked him with an over-brightened smile and nudged her elbow in Abigail’s ribs.
Forks paused mid-air. Rafael raised a brow at his daughter while Marissa let out a silent sigh.
Abigail’s face had turned crimson.
Ariel sighed, waving her hand, "Fine, fine. But admit it. This IS awkward..." she shrugged casually.

I was into the story but then the translator who was translating it for whatever language to English stopped translating half the words are half English and another language it's very hard to follow a book when you can't understand what the written word is translators need to do better...
