Nadine looked up. Her expression was indifferent as if she didn't recognize Brad. "This way, miss. Are these two people your family? We have recliners available for family members to rest in. You can use it at any time.
"Besides, we have special caregivers who can stay overnight if needed. Please let me know if you require that service." Nadine's tone was polite and standard, showing she was completely unaffected by Brad and Jean.
Nadine had finally given up on Brad after he left last night. Even seeing Jean clinging to his arm did not disturb her at all. It was as if she hadn't seen them.
Jean felt a bit unsettled seeing Nadine so calm. It was impossible to hide the fact you loved someone. Nadine clearly loved Brad so much. How could she just let go so easily?
What infuriated Jean further was that, from the moment Nadine appeared, Brad's gaze was fixed on Nadine. He hadn't looked at Jean even once.
Jean pinched her arm hard. The pain eased her anger slightly, and she forced a smile. "Thank you for the reminder, Ms. Scott. Your service is truly commendable." The implication was clear—Nadine was just a servant.
However, Nadine paid no mind to her provocation. She wore a faint smile and pretended as if nothing had happened. She then led the three of them to the VIP ward, completely ignoring Brad.
Once inside the ward, Brad watched as Nadine kept herself busy. He tried several times to speak to her, but she deliberately avoided him, showing only her back.
Nadine quickly arranged accommodation for Jean. She really didn't want to watch Brad and Jean's shameless display of affection and turned to leave.
