Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 306

Then, she gently asked, "Sir, could you please step aside? You're blocking my way."

Her tone and gaze were as if she were speaking to a stranger.

Brad wanted to say something, but Nadine had already turned and walked away while he was momentarily distracted. She didn't look back.

In fact, she had noticed the lipstick stain on Brad's collar the moment she saw Jean. Nadine rarely wore makeup and never used that shade of lipstick, so it was clear the lipstick stain belonged to Jean.

She wondered why Brad didn't just divorce her if he loved Jean so much. After the divorce, he could be with anyone he wanted, and no one could label Jean a homewrecker anymore. She just couldn't understand why he didn't take that step.

With that, Nadine quickly walked away. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared at the end of the corridor.

As Brad watched her walk away, he felt an unexpected emptiness in his heart that he couldn't quite comprehend. He reached out in a vain attempt to stop Nadine, but it was futile.

Just then, Jean emerged from the hospital room. She hurried to his side and clung to his arm.

"Brad, did you see how Nadine treated a patient? How could she just walk away like that? Who leaves a patient alone and walks away?"

Jean was frustrated that the temptress Nadine had almost diverted Brad's attention even as she walked away.

Brad shot her a cold look, his handsome face full of displeasure. "She's a nurse. You're not her only patient. If every patient acted like you, how could she do her job?"

His indifferent attitude heightened Callista's sense of insecurity, and tears welled up in her eyes. "Brad, do you like Nadine more than me now? Is that why you're speaking to me in such a cold manner?"
