Chapter 186
“Sophia, Miles is out,” Dorian whispered excitedly, leaning over the railing.
Mites walked out of the restroom wearing only a shirt– his jacket was nowhere to be seen. He shot a quick glance in Yvette’s direction, then hirmed on in the opposite direction as if he couldn’t get away from her fast enough.
Little did he know, after he left, a shadowy figure slipped toward the restroom.
Sophia arched a brow. “Come on. Let’s go check it out downstairs.”
Dorian followed Sophia downstairs and detoured to the restroom on the other side. He said, “Sophia, I’ll wait for you out here.”
Dorian stopped short when he saw Sophia heading for the restroom, but then noticed her standing at the door, arms crossed and leaning against the wall. He blinked in confusion.
Before long, a woman walked out of the restroom, her face li you doing here?”
up with excitement until she spotted Sophia. Her smile froze instantly. “Sophia? What are
Meeting Sophia’s half–smiling, knowing eyes, Vivienne instinctively concealed a man’s suit jacket behind her back, guilt written all over her face.
Sophia asked pointedly, “What are you hiding?”
Vivienne instinctively took a step back. “N–nothing.”
Sophja tilted her head. Dorian’s eyes lit up with mischief. He blurted out, “You

clothes? I was just—”
“What?” Sophia scoffed derisively. “Vivienne, you never cease to
amaze
me”
Dorian’s face twisted in disgust. “You actually snatched someone else’s discarded clothes from the restroom? Is the Monroe family that broke? That’s just nasty.”
Vivienne’s face flushed crimson with rage as she clutched the jacket even tighter behind her back. Glaring, she snapped, “It’s none of your business. Get
out of my way.”
Sophia fixed Vivienne with an icy stare. “You were hiding behind the pillar when Yvette was hitting on him. You saw everything with your own eyes.”
Sophia sneered, “Yvette beat you to it. Must be eating your heart out. Who knew Miles was such a germaphobe–can’t even stand someone touching his sleeve without ditching the whole jacket. What exactly were you planning to do with it?”
Dorian’s eyes widened. “Wait? Are you trying to use his jacket to start rumors and trap him into marrying you?”
Vivienne bit down hard on her lower lip, her face flushing crimson with rage and humiliation.
Sophia sneered, “The Monroe family will really stoop to anything to get what they want.”
Tears welled up in Vivienne’s eyes as she suddenly dropped her haughty attitude. She whimpered, “Sophia, I was such an idiot before. I’m sorry. Whatever you ask, I’ll do it. Just pretend you didn’t see this, okay? Please, let me go.”
Sophia arched an eyebrow at Vivienne’s sudden change in demeanor. Sure enough, a man’s voice cut in, “What are you guys doing?”
The man was in his mid–twenties, dressed in a sharp suit, with dashing looks and a commanding presence.
Vivienne, eyes red and putting on her best bullied victim act, stammered, “N–nothing, really, it’s nothing. Just a little misunderstanding between us,
that’s all.”

Chapter 186
Jacob Dawson strode confidently to Vivienne’s side, flashing a reassuring emite. “Don’t be afraid, this is the mean family a teritory, he e dare act out of line here.”
Relieved by his words, Vivierme let out a grateful sigh. “Thank you for coming to my rescue. I’m Vivienne. And you are?”
With a confident grin, the man said, “Name’s Jacob.”
Hearing the name, Sophia smirked. ‘What a shitty twist of fate, she thought. In the original storyline, Vivienne actually ended up with Jacou
Vivienne’s eyes lit up at the mention of the name.
Jacob, brimming with confidence, declared, “Relax. This is my family’s turf. We’re throwing a grand celebration today. If anyone dares to cause trouble, I’ll have them thrown out on the spot.”
With that final remark, Jacob cast a haughty sidelong glance at Sophia.
“Thank you so much,” Vivienne said, putting on a frightened act as she ducked behind Jacob. Out of his sight, she flashed Sophia a smug, triumphant
smirk.
Sophia let out a derisive snort. “Jacob, do yourself a favor and stay out of this.”
“What did you just say?” Jacob blurted out, momentarily stunned. Seeing her look of disdain, Jacob bristled with anger.
He sneered, “I just heard her call you Sophia. A third–rate from the Chandler family dares to be so insolent in the Dawson estate? Even your father would have to respectfully address me as Mr. Dawson.”
Sophia remained unfazed, responding flatly, “Oh, how impressive.”
Jacob choked, as if he’d just punched cotton–all his force absorbed, leaving him fuming and unable to vent his frustration.
“Mind your own business. This is between me and Vivienne,” Sophia snapped, not wasting another word on them. She thrust out her hand toward Vivienne. “Give it to me.”
Vivienne clung to the jacket for dear life. She hadn’t let go of it even when she was on her own–now that Jacob was backing her up, there was absolutely no way she was letting Sophia have it.
Vivienne clutched the jacket tighter and snapped, “I didn’t take anything of yours.”
Sophia’s eyes flashed coldly as she lunged to snatch it.
Jacob was outraged. ‘How dare she snatch something right in front of me?‘ he wondered.
He opened his mouth to call for help, but before he could utter a word, a sharp slap sent him sprawling to the ground. Dazed and disoriented, he lay there in stunned silence.
Vivienne staggered backward until she hit the restroom door, trembling so violently she nearly screamed.
Dorian shoved the mop head right into her face, cutting off her cry. “I’ve got a heart condition; you really wanna be responsible if I collapse from shock?”
Sophia arched a brow and shot Dorian an approving look. “Quick learner.”
Dorian gave another playful jab with the mop, his eyes crinkling into crescents as he flashed a bright, dimpled grin. “You really are the best teacher, Sophia.”
