Callum's teary eyes peeked out from under the blanket, asking, "Really?"
Adora stroked his soft hair. "I swear on my life."
She called the hotel front desk for some ointment, then personally applied it to Callum's back. Then, she stayed with him for breakfast, speaking softly and comfortingly.
…
Later that day, Callum went straight to the Nicholls Group to see his father.
Nathaniel had just finished a meeting when he returned to his office to find Callum waiting.
He signaled for Tommy to leave and asked, without looking up from his documents, "What trouble have you gotten into now?"
Callum hesitated. "Well… I don't think I did anything wrong, but you might not accept it."
Nathaniel glanced at him. "Is it school or the film set?"
"It's winter break, and I've taken time off from filming. They're shooting scenes with other actors."
Nathaniel frowned, disliking his son's evasiveness. "Just say it."
"Well… uhm…" Callum took a deep breath and blurted out, "Adora and I are dating."
Nathaniel's expression turned serious, but it was hard to tell whether he was angry.
"When did this happen?"
"This morning." Fearing punishment, Callum quickly explained, "I know you've always treated Adora like your own daughter, but if she marries into the Nicholls family, she'll truly be family."
Nathaniel scoffed. "You've been together for hours, and you're already thinking about marriage? Young love is so irrational."
"It's not like that, Dad. I'm serious. I've liked Adora for years, and I won't give up."
Nathaniel set down his papers and approached Callum, feigning sternness. "You don't know what love is. It's just a passing fancy."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
