Samantha hesitated, wondering if she should tell Leonardo what had happened. But she gave up that idea when she thought about how he was probably busy and exhausted inspecting projects overseas.
She was supposed to help him keep peace within the family. She shouldn't add to his stress at a time like this. Besides, Layla really liked that bag, and Samantha just wanted her to be happy. After weighing it all, she decided to keep it to herself.
Samantha: "Thank you, Mr. Garrett!"
Leonardo: "I don't like that title."
Samantha: "Thank you, honey!"
Leonardo: "Mm."
He sounded so indifferent. Yet, could it be that he secretly enjoyed being called that? Hugging her phone, Samantha drifted off to sleep with a sweet little smile.
The next morning, she was awakened by her ringing phone. Still half-asleep, she answered it groggily. "Hello?"
"Ma'am, your delivery has arrived. The address is Tower One, Sterling Residences..."
Samantha jolted awake in an instant. If it had been sent to Sterling Residences, then the bag was practically lost for good. "No! Not there!"
"It's not?"
"I'm not staying there right now. Could you deliver it to a different address? It's also in Jedo."
"Alright. What's the address?"
Samantha provided the delivery person with Layla's address, and he accepted the change without hesitation. She felt relieved and grateful that the bag was secure.
After hanging up, Samantha found she couldn't fall back asleep. She got up, freshened up, and then waited outside her door. It was supposed to be a gift for Layla, but for some reason, Samantha couldn't contain her excitement.
