Samantha watched as Kevin left, only looking away once the door closed. She sat down and stared at the plush keychain in her hand. Even though she hadn't shown it, she really loved it.

Layla asked, "Your boyfriend's brother seems pretty gentle and easygoing. How did someone like him end up with such an unreasonable mom?"

Samantha shook her head. She didn't know either. "It's like she's always trying to prove something to someone."

"To whom?"

Samantha shook her head again. "No idea."

She didn't have any answers. After all, she still wasn't fully integrated into the Garrett family, and Leonardo didn't like talking about family matters. So, Samantha's understanding of the Garretts was limited to Laura and Yara, which felt overwhelming.

The private room door opened again, and the sales assistant came back in empty-handed. "I'm sorry, this particular bag is out of stock. Would you like to take a look at something else instead?"

Layla asked directly, "Do I need to make additional purchases to be eligible for it?"

"Of course not. With this lady's VIP status, she's absolutely qualified to buy the bag. But we truly don't have any left in stock. I'm really sorry." She seemed sincere and honest.

Layla sighed, feeling a little disappointed. "But I truly like this bag."

"How about I show you some other options?"

"Alright."

The sales assistant presented Layla with a selection of additional bags, yet none captured her attention. Ultimately, they left empty-handed. Even so, the sales assistant still smiled as she walked them out.
