Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 249

Samantha stood at the office door, scanning the room.

This was her first time in Leonardo's office.

The large floor-to-ceiling windows offered a view of a shimmering lake, and the room was filled with natural light. The decor was simple and understated, with no unnecessary extravagance.

"Is it okay to place it here?" Samantha asked, pointing to the coffee table in the center.

"Sure."

With his permission, she placed the lunch boxes down and sat on the couch, feeling awkward.

Leonardo sat next to her. "You're not used to it, but there's no one else here," he said. "You don't have to worry."

Samantha glanced at him. She hadn't said she was nervous, but somehow he picked up on it.

But it made sense. She had felt a little uneasy when she first stayed at his place. Over time, she had grown more comfortable. Now, when Leonardo was home, she didn't worry about her image anymore. She just acted however she felt.

"I'm not nervous," she replied.

"Mm."

Leonardo never made her feel embarrassed, nor did he dwell on things like this. Instead, he opened one of the lunch boxes on the table.

The food looked great. There were sautéed mixed vegetables, smoked ribs, a chicken chop, and corn chowder. Even the presentation was beautiful.

Leonardo's mood lifted when he saw the nicely arranged meal. He even helped Samantha arrange her cutlery and lunch box.

He picked up his lunch box and started eating. He had a healthy appetite and took big bites, yet his refined air remained intact—it didn't come off as crude at all.

"The food you make is still as good as always."

Samantha wasn't sure if "as good as always" was the right way to put it. After all, the last time she tried making a hangover remedy, it had been a complete disaster. However, he didn't point it out and instead encouraged her.
