Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 287

Turning to Layla, Samantha asked, "How are you not falling for this?"

Layla's cheek turned rosy. She subconsciously smiled but quickly held it back, feeling pretty conflicted. "We're just friends."

Samantha remarked, "I see."

That was a solid excuse, but at least Layla wasn't pushing Ethan away as much as she used to. It was a good sign.

Layla glared at Samanatha. "Stop being sarcastic."

Samantha stuck her tongue out and argued, "I wasn't. I'm on your side."

Layla smiled in resignation and quickly made her way toward Ethan.

She didn't run as fast as she had when she met up with Samantha last time, but her excitement was clear as day. Still, she tried not to make it obvious and briskly walked to Ethan, albeit it was close to a sprint.

Samantha hurriedly chased after Layla, feeling eager to grab the front-row seat of the scene.

Layla reached out to help Ethan carry the coffee bags. "Why did you buy so much coffee?"

She was used to helping others out, but he turned her down. "It's heavy, so let me handle it."

"Like you said, it's heavy," she responded. "So I'm helping out."

Ethan insisted, "It's fine."

He didn't back down as he moved around Layla and went straight to a table. Then, he set everything down. "It's the first snow, so I got you the first cup of coffee to go with it."

Layla's colleagues nearby couldn't help but cheer, "The first coffee of winter, huh? Dr. Reed is so romantic. He looks so serious but knows how to flirt.

"You're so lucky, Layla. With how smooth Dr. Reed is, he's going to win you over in no time."
