Leonardo asked, "What brings you here?"
"I happen to have some free time," replied Samantha.
When she stepped out of the elevator, he quickly pulled her into his arms without holding back, like they were at home.
Leonardo cupped Samantha's flushed face, and the chilling touch made him frown. "You shouldn't have left the house."
She complained, "I have class, so I can't just stay inside. I'm just not good with cold weather."
As Samantha spoke, she tried to push Leonardo away. "We're at the office."
He responded, "What's the big deal? No one's around."
Samantha was in Leonardo's arms, and her sight was blocked. She had to tilt her head back to see what was going on around her.
The receptionist on the top floor wasn't around, and even the office staff were nowhere to be found. It was totally quiet.
Samantha couldn't fathom how fearless they must be, leaving early right under Leonardo's nose. "Where did they go? Did they get off early?"
Leonardo replied, "They are in a meeting."
Samantha fixed her gaze on him. "Meeting? What are you doing here?"
Why was he still here when everyone else went to the meeting?
Leonardo kissed Samantha on the cheek. "It's just a quick meeting. I don't need to be there."
Not suspecting anything, she just shook the bag in her hand. "Your takeout is here, Leonardo."
Leonardo chuckled, ignoring the bag in Samantha's hand. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward the CEO's office.
He playfully remarked like he was hinting at something. "I should take my time to savor it."
She muttered, "It's just a cup of coffee—"
"I still need to give it a proper taste," he replied. There was more to it than met the eye.
With the door to the CEO's office closed, Leonardo set the coffee in Samantha's hand on the coffee table and pulled her into the small room next to the office.
