Simon softly asked, "Do you want me to grab you an iced long black?"
Leonardo hummed in agreement.
Simon stood up and hunched over as he walked. He was about to slip away to make Leonardo a coffee when Leonardo added, "No ice."
He stopped in his tracks as his jaws dropped. No matter the weather, Leonardo usually wanted ice in his coffee, always asking for more.
What was up with Leonardo today? No ice?
As Simon was still stunned, everything suddenly clicked for him.
Most of Leonardo's strange behavior had to do with Samantha. No doubt she must have scolded him. After all, that was the only logical explanation.
As Simon was making coffee, Leonardo was glued to his phone and started browsing through Samantha's Instagram. He saw her newest post about a snowman and being together.
Thinking that she must have missed him, he couldn't help but smirk. He wondered how long this boring meeting would last.
After all, he was dying to get home and see Samantha.
Adrian turned to Leonardo and solemnly asked, "What's your opinion on this proposal, Leo?"
Leonardo didn't seem bothered at all when he was caught playing with his phone. He liked Samantha's post first before answering, "I don't really have an opinion. Whatever works."
Adrian scrunched up his wrinkled face. "Whatever works?"
That sounded super dismissive, and he wasn't pleased at all.
Leonardo nodded and grunted in response.
Adrian snapped, "As the marketing consultant, aren't you supposed to offer some input?"
"It's not bad," came Leonardo's response.
