"Honey!" Barbara's heart ached.
She quickly called the bodyguards and had Corey carried back to the house, then summoned the family doctor for examination.
The doctor was already adept at treating Corey's knees and back injuries.
After tending to his wounds, the doctor administered pain relief medication and intravenous antibiotics and nutrients.
Corey, now ill, had lost his former vigor.
He lay weakly in bed, the rain outside worsening the pain in his knees caused by the changing weather.
The doctor administered painkillers, and Corey drifted into a drowsy state.
Due to his sore throat, he was unable to utter a word.
Barbara sat beside the bed, sobbing in distress.
Anne, who had been asleep, seemed to have been awakened by the commotion.
Seeing the bedroom door ajar, she casually knocked twice before entering.
Barbara turned to see Anne and fetched a chair, placing it by the bedside.
"Ms. Windsor, have a seat."
Anne did not bother with pleasantries, treating herself like she belonged there.
She walked over and took a seat, observing Corey's condition.
"Mrs. Barbara, Ms. Lawson's punishment seems too harsh. Did he fall sick because he couldn't stand it?"
Barbara wiped her tears with a tissue while nodding. "Who would have known it would rain today? His condition flared up, and he's been suffering terribly."
Anne was concerned.
Seizing the opportunity, she continued to persuade, "Mrs. Barbara, you shouldn't hesitate any longer. If things continue like this, Mr. Corey might truly be worn out. He used to be one of Froania's most influential figures, being a top pilot and even the Chief of the National Affairs Bureau. Now, he's idle at home, yet still subject to Ms. Lawson's mistreatment. Can you really stomach that?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
