Upon returning to the Jenkins estate, Peter seemed to have anticipated Elliot's visit and was already seated on the sofa in the mansion's living room, waiting.
Still in his military uniform, Elliot exuded authority with every step he took into the mansion.
Logan led a team of soldiers into the living room, surrounding it and creating an intimidating atmosphere.
Peter had weathered many storms alongside Santiago and had experienced it all. Though he had never been a military officer, he remained composed as he witnessed Elliot's grand entrance.
Elliot sat on the adjacent sofa, observing Peter's demeanor.
Noticing that Peter made no move to offer him tea, Elliot poured himself a cup.
"Uncle Peter, your hospitality seems to be lacking. As the head of the family, is there not even a word of welcome or a cup of tea?"
Peter's gaze remained indifferent and unfocused as he replied, "We don't have fancy teas here, certainly not comparable to the precious ones in your home. I spared you the disappointment."
Elliot nodded in agreement. "Indeed, the taste of this tea leaves much to be desired, but it's not the tea's fault. Rather, it's the one who brewed it."
Peter downed his entire cup of tea and slammed it onto the table, the sound echoing through the room.
Neither spoke for quite some time until Peter finally gave in and broached the topic.
"Stanley is my only son. He may not be as capable as you and often makes foolish mistakes, but he's still my son, a member of the Jenkins family. He's your cousin. Can't you show him some leniency?"
Elliot idly tapped on his teacup, appearing to be pondering something.
"He has committed wrongdoing and should face the consequences. Your protection only encourages his misbehavior."
Peter's eyes turned bloodshot with either anger or frustration.
Unfazed, Elliot continued, "Uncle Peter, where did you hide him? If you hand him over, I'll turn a blind eye to this. If I found him, he would be charged with escaping from jail."
Peter clenched his fists tightly, trembling with anger as he glared at Elliot.
"Elliot, are you that ruthless, wanting him dead? Sending him to a high-security prison would ruin his life. People will mock me for this incident. He did this behind my back, but the outcome wasn't as dire as it could have been. Dad is fine now. Why aren't you giving the matter a rest?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
