Grant's face was wrinkled, but his smile was remarkably kind.
"I've been with the Jenkins family since my teens. Back then, I used to go with the driver to pick up Old Man Jenkins from school. Time surely flies. I never thought I'd spend half my life here."
Sheena nodded. "No wonder Grandpa trusts you so much. Having a loyal and reliable staff like you is a blessing for the Jenkins family."
"I'm honored by your praise, Mrs. Jenkins," Grant replied.
Both were all smiles, engrossed in their conversation.
As they neared the ground floor, Sheena asked, "Uncle Grant, you must be the longest-serving staff, right? So, you must have met Elliot's parents, my in-laws."
The smile faded from Grant's face, and his tone showed a hint of sadness.
"Yes, I've met them. Mr. Gareth was Old Man Jenkins's eldest son, his most beloved. They were still so young when they passed away in the car accident, leaving young Mr. Jenkins all alone."
Reflecting on those events, he sighed and added, "Mr. Jenkins had it tough back then. He lost his parents at such a young age, and both Mr. Peter and Mr. Roger were vying for power. As the eldest grandson, that period was definitely tough on him. Luckily, Old Man Jenkins kept him close and protected him. Although Old Man Jenkins was very strict with him, he had shielded him from many schemes and plots."
"Schemes and plots?" Sheena caught on to the keywords. "Indeed, wealthy families can't escape drama and secrets. It's part of them."
Her voice trailed off as she asked Grant, "Elliot was still a child when it happened. Yet, people were trying to plot against him. Were Elliot's parents really killed in a car accident, or did someone murder them?"
Grant looked puzzled. "Mrs. Jenkins, why would you ask that? Old Man Jenkins was someone influential in the military back then. He personally investigated the accident, and it was ruled as an accident. There's no way it could have been anything else."
Observing Grant's expression, Sheena saw no hint of lying.
He seemed genuinely unaware of the truth.
Santiago closed the case, ruling it as an accidental death.
Peter, however, claimed it was not an accident, hinting at foul play.
Who was lying?
Given Santiago's shrewdness, it was hard to believe he did not know the truth.
If there was another reason, the fact that even his most trusted old servant was not informed indicated the gravity of the situation.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
