Stanley was afraid, not knowing when the next beating would come.
Moreover, the despair of not knowing how long he would be stuck here weighed heavily on him.
He hated Elliot!
Oh, how he despised him!
Stanley's intense hatred intensified as his body throbbed with pain.
If it were not for Elliot's refusal to let him go, he would be on a ship leaving the borders of Froania right now, with plenty of money provided by Peter.
He could have been living carefree days abroad!
Instead, he was trapped in a cell at the National Investigation Bureau, enduring beatings.
He simply could not accept this!
Suddenly, Stanley's back took an unexpected kick, and his forehead hit the wall.
Fortunately, it only caused him pain without any bloodshed.
It was Jude who had kicked him.
"Get up. A disgrace like you don't deserve to sit with us. Move to the other side by the toilet, and hurry up," Jude commanded, delivering another kick to hasten him.
Stanley wiped the mess from his face and silently limped over to the designated spot as Jude instructed.
More than ten men were sitting in the cell, and in Stanley's eyes, it was already foul-smelling.
Sitting next to the toilet, he realized the stink was even more unbearable.
Stanley covered his nose and mouth with his bloodied hand, nearly gagging from the stench.
His retching caught Jude's attention.
Jude was irritated, storming over and beating him up again.
"You're even more repulsive than this toilet. How dare you complain?"
He continued to insult Stanley as he beat him, "Even scumbags like me know that family comes first. You actually harmed your own grandfather, the one who loved you the most. You deserve every bit of this beating and more!"
Earlier, a guard had chatted with them briefly and explained why Stanley was being detained, further angered the inmates.
Especially Jude, who, despite his criminal lifestyle, valued loyalty and filial piety above all else.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
