Corey glanced back at Sheena from time to time, noticing her serious expression, which filled him with satisfaction once again.
It had been a long time since he had seen Sheena look at him with such tenderness.
Moreover, Sheena was gentle while applying the medication, as if she was avoiding hurting him.
It touched him deeply.
Corey's eyes slightly welled up with emotion, and he quickly took a deep breath, suppressing the sudden surge of feelings.
Sheena almost instantly sensed that something was strange about him and paused her actions.
"Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?"
Corey felt even more upset and ashamed.
Sheena's inquiry was so gentle.
How could he have hurt her so deeply for Sheila and her mother?
He was overwhelmed with emotions that he could not utter a single word, and his eyes reddened as he blamed himself for his actions.
"What's wrong?"
Getting no response from Corey, Sheena moved to stand in front of him.
She lifted his chin with her fingertips but was taken aback when she saw the tears in his eyes.
Sheena froze, and even her fingers stiffened.
"Y-You actually…"
Corey had always been the role model among her brothers.
He was powerful, cold, and composed, not one to easily express emotions.
Over the years, Sheena had never seen Corey shed tears for anything. So, to see the strong and determined man in tears after making a mistake was shocking.
Corey hastily pulled away from her touch, turning his face away in embarrassment and panic at being discovered in his vulnerability.
"I-I'm not… not crying. I'm not in pain. I just… The alcohol from earlier stung my eyes."
Amused, Sheena teased him, "Did I say you cried? You're giving yourself away."
Corey's face turned even redder with shame.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
