Naomi quickly answered Sheena's call.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Sheena got straight to the point.
"Naomi, what's Uncle Roger been up to lately? I'd like to see him. Is he available?"
Naomi was surprised. "Sheena, what's the matter? Why do you want to meet him? He's been out of Svelton on a business trip. I'm not sure when he'll be back, maybe in about a week."
"On a business trip?" Sheena frowned, pondering for a moment. "When did he leave?"
"I think it was the night before last," Naomi replied.
Sheena gave a couple of vague responses and then hung up the phone.
If Roger had left two days ago, it would have seemed to coincide with the night Peter confronted Elliot about Stanley's situation.
Moreover, Elliot went to confront Santiago, only to be angrily dismissed.
Was it just a coincidence that Roger happened to leave Svelton on the same night as the incident, or did he know something and decided to avoid it?
With Roger out of Svelton, Santiago refusing to say anything, Grant seemingly unaware of the situation, and Peter still negotiating with Elliot, it seemed there was no other way.
Sheena would have to wait for updates from Dark Bell's investigation. Maybe they could uncover some clues from the evidence that could help Elliot.
…
The next day.
Stanley was nearly losing his mind in the holding cell.
Though it had only been two days, every moment felt like an eternity to him.
He had grown accustomed to the smell of the toilet, and the beatings from Jude and his gang had become routine, treating him like a punching bag.
Whenever they felt the slightest annoyance, they would come over and beat him up.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
