It seemed that Elliot only felt safe when Sheena was by his side when he could see and touch her.
He led Sheena into the mansion, agreeing to Miguel's invitation.
Miguel promptly followed them inside, seating himself on a side couch and leaving the main seats for Sheena and Elliot.
The bodyguards poured two cups of tea and left the living room, leaving Miguel, Sheena, and Elliot alone for their discussion.
Once the room was cleared of any unwanted listeners, Elliot picked up one of the tea cups from the table and took a sip.
Miguel chuckled. "This is the newly harvested premium tea. Since I didn't bring any servants, the bodyguards might not have brewed it perfectly. Please forgive the taste, Mr. Jenkins."
Elliot remained silent, his deep expression unreadable, leaving Miguel guessing whether he was angry, upset, or dissatisfied.
Seeing Elliot's reluctance, Miguel retrieved a box of premium brown cigars from his coat pocket and offered it to him, asking, "Care for a cigar, Mr. Jenkins?"
Elliot did not hesitate, shaking his head decisively.
"My wife is quite strict and doesn't allow me to touch these things."
Miguel glanced at Sheena and instantly understood, sharing a knowing smile.
"Seems like you're indeed a devoted husband, just as the rumors say. You truly love Mrs. Jenkins."
Elliot's brow furrowed slightly, his expression serious.
Miguel quickly explained, patting his chest, "Mr. Jenkins, please don't misunderstand. I, too, am a devoted husband, always obeying my wife's orders."
With just a few words, Elliot could sense that Miguel was not merely flattering or pretending.
His words felt genuine, and there was an inexplicable charm to him.
It was rare to find a high-ranking figure in the underworld with such a free-spirited personality.
Elliot's demeanor softened a bit as he cut to the chase.
"Nana mentioned you were interested in cooperating. Let's hear your proposal."
Miguel repeated what he had explained to Sheena earlier, outlining his plan for collaboration.
"The mastermind behind this is likely someone in the underworld, and I'm sure you have the same suspicion too. I'm more familiar with this territory than you are, Mr. Jenkins. Through our collaboration, I can communicate with your suspects and even collaborate as needed."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
