A man's steady voice answered the call, "Who's this?"
"Mr. Jenkins, your beloved wife has been missing for so long. I bet you've been tossing and turning all night, huh?"
Elliot pretended to be nervous, saying, "Let her go, and we can talk."
"The call's been barely a minute, and you're already asking me to release her? How boring. Mr. Jenkins, do you miss her? Do you want her arms or legs? How about I deliver them to you tonight?"
Mr. Fitzpatrick laughed evilly.
Even though Elliot knew Mr. Fitzpatrick was just taunting him and Sheena was undoubtedly safe, he was still filled with rage.
If he ever got his hands on him, he would make sure to tear him apart.
Nonetheless, he needed to stay calm and reel him in.
"What do you want?"
Mr. Fitzpatrick clicked his tongue twice. "Mr. Jenkins, you're a generous man. You and Mrs. Jenkins are worth billions, but I only want 4.5 million dollars in cash, plus your resignation from the National Investigation Bureau. That's not too much to ask for, is it?"
Elliot did not respond.
Mr. Fitzpatrick continued, "Let's meet face-to-face tomorrow at 10 a.m., Brighthampton Hill. Remember, you have to come alone."
As he finished speaking, his tone turned sinister.
"Otherwise, what she loses won't be just her limbs…"
The call ended with a click.
The beeping sound filled the car, and it fell silent.
Logan and Lance exchanged glances, both eager to get their hands on Mr. Fitzpatrick.
"Mr. Jenkins, he finally showed himself. We'll definitely capture him tomorrow!"
Elliot stayed quiet, but he felt a slight sense of relief.
Only by uncovering the true mastermind behind the baby formula case would he be at ease.
He gave the two men a glance and said, "Easy for you to say. The condition for the meeting is 4.5 million dollars in cash. Are you going to prepare that for me?"
Lance was dumbfounded, exclaiming, "Seriously, Mr. Jenkins? Are you that broke? Aren't you only required to hand over your salary to Mrs. Jenkins?"
Logan rolled his eyes at him. "You idiot. It's tomorrow morning! The banks are already closed now, and it's hard to prepare that much cash in such a short time. We might need to make a late-night trip to headquarters."
Elliot looked at the darkening sky in the distance, his eyes calm, but his thoughts were elsewhere.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
