Nathaniel asked, "Nana, what happened?"
Sheena was taken aback by Nathaniel's question and followed his gaze to her neck, where she lightly touched the bruise.
Was it… from when Elliot while she slept in the car?
She shot a reproachful glance at Elliot, who remained silent, but Nathaniel misinterpreted her look.
His blue eyes narrowed slightly as he questioned Elliot with a stern tone, "You promised me you'd protect her, yet she's been hurt and suffered because of you. Is that how you show your care for her?"
Elliot's expression turned cold as he pursed his lips, refusing to explain.
Sheena glanced between the two men before finally returning her gaze to Asher, sighing softly.
"It's just a minor injury. It's not worth arguing over."
Nathaniel lowered his gaze.
When he saw Sheena injured, the overly-possessive voice in his head almost lost control.
"As her husband, the person you trust the most failed to protect you and let you get hurt. I'm just worried about you."
Sheena suddenly remembered that the bruise on her neck was probably from when she was locked in Miguel's basement.
The rough hemp rope was rough, leaving several marks. As the wounds rubbed against her clothes, she felt a dull pain.
Nonetheless, it had been quite stressful for the past few days, and she was afraid of causing trouble for everyone, especially Elliot,
Thus, she kept it hidden.
Eventually, she forgot about it herself…
She quickly explained, "I'm really fine. There were too many mosquitoes in the woods, and I scratched myself too hard. I'm very tired and need to rest."
Sheena sneakily glanced at Elliot, but he caught her in the act, causing her to quickly avert her gaze.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
