Elliot stood there dumbfounded, unable to find the right words.
Adora had ratted him out and even tricked him several times…
And now, Asher had tricked him too.
What should he do?
Should he give the little rascal a good spanking?
However, Asher was fragile, and he had always been so caring and obedient.
Elliot could not bring himself to do it and had to swallow the bitter pill. There was simply no way out of this mess.
Seeing Elliot was silent, Asher put his smartphone on speaker and asked Sheena, "Mommy, Daddy just said you like to cry and act pitiful in front of him. Did you hear him? Is that true?"
After a brief moment of silence on the phone, Sheena's typically sweet voice came through.
"I didn't quite catch that. Could you ask Daddy to repeat it? I'll listen carefully this time."
Although her tone sounded calm, Elliot sensed a hint of displeasure.
He knew Sheena was giving him an out.
Taking it, he continued, "Actually, I didn't finish what I said earlier. While it's true I have absolute authority in our household, it only applies to you and Adora. I still have a superior—your mommy, my wife. I'll handle you and Adora while your mommy handles me."
He raised his voice, sounding earnest as he added, "And your Mommy doesn't pretend to be pitiful. It was me who used to play the victim to get her attention when I was pursuing her. I wouldn't dare make her cry. If she sheds a tear, no matter the reason, it's my fault."
Asher looked puzzled but listened attentively.
"Wow, Mommy is so amazing. So, Daddy is in charge of Adora and me, and Mommy is in charge of straightening you up!"
Elliot did not respond.
Sheena's gentle laughter soon came through the phone.
"Asher, you got it right! That's exactly how it is. Daddy is also right, and I'll make sure to reward him properly when I get home from work."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
