On the bed, a fierce battle was unfolding between the two little ones over who gets to sleep next to Sheena.
Both kids wanted to cuddle up to her.
Being the older and more mature of the two, Asher eventually conceded.
He obediently shifted his pillow to lie next to Elliot's.
After nearly half an hour of shuffling and rearranging, the family finally settled down for the night.
However, just as the lights were turned off, Adora's voice broke the silence.
"Mommy, my heart is beating so fast! I can't fall asleep," she whimpered.
Elliot was already sleepy, and he chimed in, "You shouldn't exercise before bed. You ran around so much earlier, so it's natural that you can't sleep."
Sheena remained silent, contemplating the situation.
While Adora could not sleep, Asher needed rest.
Having spent so much time in the lab receiving treatments, Sheena could see that Asher was feeling exhausted.
While she thought of a plan, Elliot added, "How about… letting Mommy read us a bedtime story?"
"Okay!" Adora eagerly agreed.
Asher, however, scoffed, "Boring."
Elliot wanted Asher to listen to more fairy tales with Adora, hoping it might soften his early onset maturity.
He persuaded, "Asher, you haven't heard Mommy's stories yet. Just consider it something new to help Adora sleep."
Turning to his side and hugging his arms, Asher retorted, "Whatever. Girls only bring troubles, even when it comes to sleeping."
Ignoring his displeasure, Adora wrapped her arms around him from behind, her voice sweet and patient.
"I'm not causing any trouble. Mommy's stories are fun. Asher, you should listen too."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
