Adora grinned, and her eyes sparkled as she chimed in, "Uncle Nate is trying to say that you can call him something more affectionate, like Nate…"
Mavis's ears turned red, and her heart was pounding fast.
She tried to maintain her composure and mumbled, "O-Okay… Nate."
Nathaniel nodded.
His calmness seemed to imply that he enjoyed her calling that, showing no signs of discomfort.
"Tomorrow's Monday, I'll drop Adora off at daycare first. Leave me a contact number, and I'll pick you up around nine."
"Pick me up?" Mavis repeated, sounding surprised.
Nathaniel's expression remained gentle as he patiently explained, "As we agreed earlier, it's a formal date. We can go shopping, watch a movie, have some food, and enjoy the night view."
In other words, he would spend the entire day with her tomorrow.
The thought filled Mavis with an indescribable happiness.
She felt as if she were dreaming, and it was a surreal and beautiful dream.
"Okay. Tomorrow morning, rain or shine… Nate."
Nathaniel smiled, nodding as he settled Adora into his car.
Only after the door closed did the courteous smile fade from his face, replaced by his usual cool and aloof demeanor.
The driver quickly drove away, leaving the hotel.
Adora was still looking out the window and waving goodbye to Mavis, being as adorable as always.
It was not until Mavis was out of sight that Nathaniel gently guided Adora back to her seat and buckled her seatbelt with care.
In Adora's presence, Nathaniel's gaze remained tender and affectionate, always filled with love and never showing his sinister side.
"Uncle Nate, do you really like Mae?" Adora asked casually, tilting her head with curiosity.
Nathaniel gently pinched her cheek and replied with a smile, "As long as you like her, I like her too."
Adora grinned mischievously. "I knew it! You still like me the most!"
Nathaniel patted her little head.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
