Mavis instinctively tightened her grip around Nathaniel's neck, feeling a slight warmth in her cheeks.
He had called her his wife so naturally, making Mavis feel inexplicably sweet inside.
It was both real and dreamlike.
Among the surprised group, Seymour was the first to react.
"This is wonderful! Congratulations, Mr. Nicholls! Congratulations, Mav— no, Ms. Ols— Mrs. Nicholls!"
Aishah stared daggers at Mavis, who was being held by Nathaniel.
Her heart was overwhelmed with jealousy, and she was on the brink of losing her sanity.
While she admitted that Mavis was decent-looking and had a good figure, she thought Mavis was just an ordinary person like her, perhaps not even academically better than her.
Aishah could not believe Nathaniel had chosen to marry Mavis.
However, she soon realized something was not right.
"I don't believe it. If she's really your wife, why didn't she mention it when I asked her before? She even said she was your personal servant."
Nathaniel explained, "In the first few days after we married, I upset her. It's a little game to spice up our marriage life. Why does that concern you?"
Aishah was left speechless.
Helena cried even louder, filled with despair and regret.
"If I had known Mavis was Mrs. Nicholls, I would never have provoked her with Aishah. I was so wrong!"
Nathaniel, tired of listening to the two women crying and arguing, carried Mavis into the mansion without looking back.
He told Seymour, "As for these two servants, they'll face the harshest punishment per the contract. Also, they'll pack their things and leave the Nicholls residence tonight. I never want to see these them again."
"Yes, Mr. Nicholls. You can count on me."
Nathaniel walked away with Mavis in his arms.
Mavis stayed quietly in his embrace, occasionally lifting her head to steal glances at him.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
