"Then why is she upset and eating so little?" Gabrielle asked, concerned.

"How would I know?" He replied casually, his tone unusually cold.

Gabrielle was displeased. "Nate, what's with the attitude? As Mae's husband, you should take note of her moods and try to cheer her up when she's feeling down."

Nathaniel was getting a bit impatient with her nagging and eventually just responded, "Fine, I'll go check on her after dinner."

"That's much better."

Gabrielle felt that something was off between the couple like there was some secret they did not know about.

She continued, "Nate, I've spent time with Mae, and she's really nice. She cares about you a lot. Good wives like her are hard to come by. If you don't appreciate her, you'll regret it!"
