Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1550

Elliot's anger burned hotter than the stove fire inside the cottage.

His hand moved to his lower back, swiftly drawing his gun. Then, he loaded it, chambered a round, and pressed the barrel firmly against the back of Nathaniel's head.

Hearing the commotion, Nathaniel stopped and turned around, not flinching at the gun pointed at him.

He looked puzzled and asked, "What are you doing?"

Elliot's voice was cold and menacing as he uttered, "I'm giving you one last chance to explain. You've been alone with Nana in this place for four days. Are you sure you didn't do anything to her?"

Nathaniel chuckled. "You've got it all wrong. I never had the chance to be alone with her. Put that gun away before you scare them."

His words implied there were others inside.

Elliot's expression softened slightly as he holstered his gun, adjusting his coat to conceal it.

Within two minutes, the three men reached the small yard of the simple cabin.

Through the low mud wall, Elliot spotted a familiar, slender figure sitting on a stool under the eaves.

She was shelling peas, her delicate hands working methodically.

Despite her simple attire, her innate elegance was unmistakable.

She wore a casual smile and chatted with an older woman at the door.

Elliot's eyes welled up.

The person he had been desperately searching for over ten days was finally within sight.

A flood of emotions overwhelmed him, but he suddenly felt conflicted.

She seemed fine, so why did she not return home or contact him?

Did she no longer care about their family, about Asher and Adora, or about him?

A painful ache spread through his chest, causing his hands to tremble beneath his coat sleeves.

Lionel observed his turmoil, silently sighing with worry.

On the other hand, Nathaniel remained calm, pushing open the small wooden gate of the yard.

"Mrs. Snyder, Nana, I'm back," Nathaniel announced.

Nancy Snyder and Sheena both turned their heads.
