Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1570

Nathaniel stopped in his tracks, pondering for a few seconds before turning around and heading in the opposite direction.

A few minutes later, the door to the consultation room suddenly swung open.

The doctor looked puzzled and said, "Sir, please wait until your name is called before entering."

"She's my wife. I'm here for her appointment. I just want to hear about her diagnosis."

Upon hearing this, the doctor glanced at Mavis and smiled, praising, "Your husband is really thoughtful. Men as attentive as him are rare these days."

With her back facing the door, Mavis turned her head slowly as she saw Nathaniel wearing a mask.

She was visibly surprised.

"What are you doing here?"

He was just leaving moments ago…

Nathaniel walked up behind her, gently placing his hands on her shoulders.

His voice was soft yet serious as he responded, "I got a mask from the nurse's station. So, are you mad?"

Mavis was momentarily dazed.

His hands on her shoulders seemed magical, making her heart beat faster and filling her body with warmth.

"Thank you," Mavis sincerely expressed her gratitude.

"We're husband and wife. Don't worry about it," Nathaniel replied tenderly before turning to the doctor.

"How's her condition? Is it serious?"

The doctor promptly informed Nathaniel about Mavis's health.

Most of the conversation was directed toward him, leaving Mavis with hardly a word to say.

"That's about it. In the future, she should avoid late-night snacks. She can also have a glass of warm milk before bed to protect her stomach and improve her sleep. Additionally, she should undergo further tests. If the results are normal, then there shouldn't be any problems."

"Alright."

Nathaniel accepted the payment slip, took Mavis's bag, and gently held her hand, leading her to the payment counter.

Mavis felt utterly bewildered throughout the whole process.

Nathaniel seemed too good to be true all of a sudden.
