A clap of thunder shook the sky, jolting Sheena awake in the ward of the lab.
She had just experienced a nightmare.
In the dream, Elliot had appeared before her, covered in blood, telling her to live well.
The dream felt all too real, and the fear it brought lingered.
The thunder also woke the children.
Adora mumbled for Sheena to hold her, "Mommy, I'm scared. Hold me."
Sheena took a deep breath to steady herself.
Then, she pulled her precious daughter into her arms, soothing her softly, "It's okay, Adora. I'm here. Don't be afraid."
Asher opened his eyes, showing a hint of fear.
Despite his maturity, he was still only five years old and afraid of the storm.
He tried to appear calm, moving closer to Sheena and clutching her clothes.
Outside, the rain started pouring again, beating against the windows relentlessly.
Adora would occasionally frown and cling tightly to Sheena, saying she was scared.
After a long while, Sheena managed to get both children back to sleep.
She played a soft melody in the room to drown out the thunder and rain.
Once she was sure they were sound asleep, Sheena quietly stepped outside the room and dialed Elliot's number.
For some reason, she had a nagging feeling of dread.
"Sorry. The number you have dialed is currently unavailable…"
She called Elliot several times, but his phone remained off.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
