Seeing her anticipation and hopefulness about romance, Nathaniel stood up abruptly, blocking the sunlight and looking at her seriously.
"What if… I want to be your partner?"
"Huh?"
The gentle sea breeze caressed their faces, and the waves lapped against the shore.
Over their time together, Nathaniel realized Kristen resembled Sheena in many ways, a feeling he had grown to love.
He had a selfish desire to hold onto his decade-long obsession with Sheena.
After a long silence, Kristen's heart started racing, her cheeks red.
"I-I've never really thought about being in a relationship before… I'm sorry."
Kristen calmed herself down, and her face soon showed a pained expression as she added, "I've had a difficult life. I don't want to bring misfortune to you. I'm really sorry. Your phone is fixed now. I'll go get it for you."
She hurried away, leaving him with only her retreating figure.
Reflecting on her startled expression, Nathaniel smiled wryly and followed her home.
Back at the house, Kristen was still blushing as she handed him the phone.
"You should check it. There seem to be a lot of missed calls."
Unlocking his phone, Nathaniel saw numerous missed calls and messages from Mavis.
[Where are you? Are you okay? I'm really worried about you.]
[You've been missing for a week. Can you see my messages?]
[Nate...]
…
Each message expressed her deep concern.
Nathaniel frowned slightly, gripping his phone tightly as his deep blue eyes revealed a mix of emotions.
Noticing Nathaniel's changing expression, Kristen said softly, "Your family must be very worried about you, and they're waiting for your return. You should go back..."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
