Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1783

Mavis turned her head, wanting to wheel herself away.

However, Gabrielle held the wheelchair's handles, pressing one hand on Mavis's shoulder.

With so many people present, Gabrielle was determined to help them resolve their issues.

Unable to leave, Mavis reluctantly stayed in place.

At the door, Nathaniel noticed the crowd in the house and Adora with her tear-streaked face.

He asked, "Nana, Elliot, what brings you guys here?"

Sheena responded, "Asher and Adora told us Mae got hurt, so we came to check on her."

Nathaniel saw Mavis by the sofa, sitting in a wheelchair with her ankle bandaged.

She was really injured.

Then, he glanced at Adora.

Usually, this little girl would run to him for hugs and kisses. Yet, she just clung to Sheena.

Nathaniel found it odd and walked over, crouching in front of Adora.

He gently patted her head and asked, "What's wrong, Adora? Why are you crying?"

"It's my fault Auntie Mae got hurt. I'm scared," Adora said with a hint of a sob.

She was terrified by what happened at the skating rink.

"Alright, Adora, don't cry. As long as you're not hurt, that's all that matters," Nathaniel comforted her.

Nathaniel's words felt slightly hurtful to Mavis.

She did not want to compete with the little girl for attention, but his obvious indifference made her uncomfortable.

Was he trying to show everyone present that there were problems between them?

Since Mavis left for Gurenchti, Sheena had been curious about the cause of their argument.

It seemed the rift between them had only deepened.
