Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1816

Adora listened intently, her eyes filled with determination as she promised, "Auntie Mae, don't worry! I'm going to be a big kid now and protect Asher. I won't let any mean kids bully him!"

As they walked downstairs, a few kids stared at Adora and Asher with wide eyes, whispering among themselves.

Puzzled, Adora slipped her hand from Mavis's and walked over to the kids, asking, "Are you staring at us? Mommy says it's rude to stare and talk about others."

The kids just pointed at Adora and Asher and asked curiously, "Are you twins? You look so much alike."

Adora was proud of being a twin and puffed out her chest as she replied, "Yes, we're twins! He's the big brother, and I'm the little sister."

She even grabbed Asher's hand and pressed his cheek against hers, adding, "Asher is only a few minutes older than me!"

Adora's outgoing personality had won over the other kids in no time, and they were all happily chatting and heading down the stairs together.

Asher was always more reserved around strangers. So, he stayed at the edge of the group, keeping his distance.

On the other hand, Adora enjoyed interacting with the other children, giggling along the way.

Since their children were getting along, the adults walking behind them also started engaging in small conversations.

A young woman in a mink coat turned to Mavis and asked, "Having twins must have been quite a challenge, right?"

Mavis felt a bit awkward, realizing that they might have misunderstood.

Before she could explain, Adora turned around and proudly declared, "Pretty lady, they're not our mommy and daddy!"

She pointed at Nathaniel and Mavis and continued, "They're my godparents. Uncle Nate and Auntie Mae have different eyes from us because they are angels sent by heaven to protect Asher and me!"
