Mavis saw Mildred's gaze linger on the couch, and she awkwardly lowered her head.
Surprisingly, Mildred did not make a fuss but instead turned and sat on the couch.
"Mae, close the door," she said calmly.
…
Asher and Adora had recently become quite popular at school.
Compared to Asher, Adora was more like a tomboy and paid no attention to her classmates' admiration. After all, Sheena had always told her to keep a low profile. Otherwise, she would attract too much attention.
The two kids, who initially wanted to stay under the radar, were about to face an upcoming exam.
This was Asher's first test since starting school, and Adora was worried he might be nervous.
She whispered to him, "Asher, don't worry. It's just a little quiz. I believe in you."
Asher rolled his eyes. "Do I look worried?"
Adora pouted, annoyed that her kind words were brushed off.
The test results soon came out, and before they did, there was a lot of chatter among the students.
Some kids speculated that Adora and Asher, despite their recent popularity, probably did not do well.
Adora and Asher remembered Sheena's advice to ignore the rumors, stay focused on their studies, and do their best on the exam.
On the day the results were announced, the teacher started reading the names from the bottom up.
Adora and Asher's names had not been called yet, which made their classmates wonder.
"Could they be first and second?"
As if on cue, the teacher added to the suspense, asking the class, "Now, who do you think got first place? Whose names haven't been called yet?"
"Adora Lawson!"
"Asher Jenkins!"
Several kids chimed in, but there was only one first place.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
