Kristen only dared to stand up after Declan left.
Her clothes were torn, and the nearby men glanced at her several times.
Kristen approached them with a smile, teasing, "Like what you see? Take a good look."
She laughed bitterly, and the men quickly averted their eyes and followed Declan out.
A few days later, Declan made his move.
That afternoon, Kristen was out fishing when suddenly, a group of men stormed the fishermen's boats, seizing anything of value and injuring several people.
Kristen recognized some of them as Declan's men.
Was he that impatient?
She touched her nearly healed back wound and scoffed.
The old man had timed it perfectly to avoid Nathaniel's suspicion.
However, Declan's men did not stop at the boats. They raided the village too, injuring many residents.
Some elderly people, unable to bear the shock, suffered heart attacks and died.
The village instantly descended into chaos.
One of Declan's men slipped Kristen a message, saying, "Mr. Blackwell says you need to get involved in the relief efforts and tell Nathaniel the truth. He'll definitely come."
Kristen sneered. "And if he doesn't come?"
Declan glared at her coldly.
It was a threat.
Kristen did not argue further and turned away.
"I understand. Tell Daddy not to worry."
That afternoon, Kristen called Nathaniel again.
The village was in turmoil, and Nathaniel could hear the distress in her voice.
"What's going on over there?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
