Mavis felt an overwhelming urge to leave after being suddenly falsely accused.
However, some colleagues who were friendly with her at the company called and urged her not to give up so easily.
"Why?"
What could she possibly do in this situation?
Their response hit her like a wake-up call.
"Are you kidding? The person who framed you wants you to leave in disgrace. If you do, they will win too easily. Plus, Mavis, if you're going to leave, do it with your head held high, not with a tarnished reputation. Don't you want to fight for yourself even once?”
Mavis realized they were right.
She had been too focused on Nathaniel's attitude and had overlooked her own innocence.
Being a person of action, Mavis quickly headed to the cafe, where they accused her of meeting the competitor.
Pregnant women should not drink coffee, so she ordered two glasses of juice, which she drank alone.
With her distinctive blonde hair and blue eyes, she looked like a doll and was a memorable regular to the staff.
They invited her to sit at her usual spot.
As the server brought her juice and was about to leave, Mavis quickly stopped her.
"Excuse me, is your manager or owner available?"
Thinking Mavis was unhappy with the service, the server nervously asked why.
"I just need to check the surveillance footage," Mavis clarified.
Relieved, the server replied, "We don't have the authority to access the footage, but I'll get the owner for you."
Soon, the cafe owner approached her table and nodded politely.
"Miss, you wanted to speak with me?"
Mavis nodded, eager to clear her name.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
