Lionel understood the look Elliot had given him, and he gulped nervously, shifting uneasily.
Elliot was focused on finding the right school for Adora and was not in the mood to deal with Lionel's missteps right now.
As they were leaving, Carter caught up with them.
"Sir, is there something about our school you're unsatisfied with? Did we fail to explain anything properly?"
Elliot's eyes, cold and distant, met his.
"I'm not satisfied with anything."
"Wait a moment!"
Carter stopped them with a forced smile.
"We've given you a thorough tour and explained everything. If you're unhappy, it seems a bit picky. You should know that Mr. Roan is a former subordinate of the deputy of the National Investigation Bureau. It isn't wise to offend him."
Lionel was fuming and could not hold back anymore.
"Why would someone from Froania's National Investigation Bureau have a subordinate who runs a school in Deltsburg."
Carter chuckled and replied, "That's an entire story itself."
Elliot smirked, eager to hear what Carter would come up with next.
"Did you know that even the head of the National Investigation Bureau, Elliot Jenkins himself, has personally mentored our principal? Elliot is a well-known figure in Froania. Surely you've heard of him?"
Elliot raised an eyebrow.
Not only did he know Elliot Jenkins, but they were also well-acquainted.
Lionel was nearly boiling over with frustration.
"I can't take this anymore."
Elliot made no move to stop him.
He casually leaned against the wall, letting Lionel handle the situation.
Lionel wrapped his arm around Carter's shoulders with a false grin and said, "Come here, take a good look. Do you recognize this face?"
Carter studied Lionel but shook his head. "You're here for a school visit. I know you must have some standing, but… have we met before?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
