Since Howard rarely came back to stay here, the mansion had become Adora's secret hideout where she kept all sorts of fun things.
However, she had never stashed away any food.
"Hold on a moment," she said as she ran to the fridge.
After rummaging through it, she finally found a single expired hot dog.
Callum's eyes lit up at the sight of food, and he rushed over with his short legs, eager to grab it.
Adora did not give it to him, saying, "It's old and could upset your stomach."
Just then, Callum's stomach growled loudly.
He suggested, "How about we sneak out and find something to eat? If no one notices, we can have a proper meal."
Adora glanced at Asher.
It was indeed mealtime, and Asher, being weak and unable to handle hunger well, might be persuaded.
"Alright, we can go over to Uncle Corey's place. His house is really close by, and he's very kind. He'll help us keep our location hidden."
Mountville was now only watched over by Corey, so they prepared to head to his place for a meal.
Just as they were leaving the mansion and had not yet made it past the small garden outside, they heard the sound of cars roaring through the mountain.
Before long, the cars stopped right in front of the gate.
"This is bad! Uncle Nate must be here!" Adora panicked and turned to Asher. "Did you snitch on our location?"
With both hands in his pockets, Asher snorted dismissively. "Your so-called secret hideout hasn't been a secret for a long time."
With Elliot around, if someone truly wanted to find them, it would be nearly impossible to stay hidden for long.
Hence, he only reported their location to worsen the situation.
Adora was at a loss for words.
As they spoke, the car doors opened.
Nathaniel stepped out first, striding directly toward them, with his bodyguards trailing closely behind.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
