Mavis was clearly irritated. "You really have a way with words, don't you? Try showing some respect."
Nathaniel let out a soft, dismissive snort.
"You're quite quick to defend him. He surely means a lot to you."
"You're impossible. I'm done talking to you."
Mavis turned her head away, refusing to engage any further in this pointless argument.
"Do you have any other requests? Something reasonable, perhaps?"
"Reasonable?" Nathaniel laughed. "So, anything involving that man is unreasonable?"
"Nathaniel!"
His words were always harsh and sarcastic.
Mavis was starting to lose her temper.
Nathaniel could tell she was annoyed and knew it was time to stop, simply saying, "I'm soaked. I'll use your bathroom to shower."
Before she could respond, he was already moving past her, heading straight for the bathroom like he owned the place.
"Wait. Nathaniel…"
Mavis eventually relented.
After all, he had come all this way in the rain to find Callum. He must have been worried sick, which might explain his harsh words.
Mavis decided to let it go and returned to the bedroom to be with Callum.
The sound of running water soon filled the bedroom, mingling with the steady rhythm of the rain outside.
Mavis leaned against the headboard, gently patting Callum's back to help him sleep more soundly. However, she could not help but glance at the light coming from the bathroom.
For some reason, the sound of the water was distracting, and she began imagining Nathaniel standing under the shower, water cascading down his sculpted abs and along his toned frame, steam swirling around him…
Nathaniel had never bared his chest in front of her before, but she could tell that his physique must be impressive.
What was she thinking?
Realizing where her thoughts had wandered, Mavis felt a rush of embarrassment.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
