"What solution?" Mavis asked.
Nathaniel's eyes gleamed as he replied, "Grandma has always loved having you as a granddaughter-in-law. She's watched Callum grow up since he was born. It's only natural that she doesn't want to let go. If you're willing, I suppose I could sacrifice a little and endure continuing our marriage arrangement. How does that sound?"
Mavis's eye twitched.
Was he serious?
He made it sound like he was doing her a huge favor.
How could he be so irritating?
Feeling even more frustrated, Mavis flatly refused.
"No thanks. I wouldn't want you to suffer on my account."
Nathaniel smirked. "It wouldn't be all bad. You could always repay me with your body."
"You're disgusting," she hissed through gritted teeth.
She stood up, ready to leave.
She could not stand being in the ward a second longer.
"Where are you going?" Nathaniel called after her.
Mavis ignored him, storming out and slamming the door behind her.
Even a fool could tell she was angry.
As soon as she left, Nathaniel's expression darkened.
He lost his appetite for the meal in front of him.
He put away his spoon, pulled out a pack of cigarettes from behind his pillow, and lit one up.
Troy walked in just as Nathaniel started smoking.
"Mr. Nicholls, what happened? Mrs. Nicholls looked upset. Did you two argue again? Why are you smoking already? Mrs. Nicholls hasn't even left the building yet. The doctor said no smoking or drinking while you're recovering. At least pretend to be a proper patient. What if Mrs. Nicholls sees you?"
Troy kept rambling worriedly from the moment he entered the room, and Nathaniel grew irritated.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
