Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2198

Sheena nodded and said, "True. If he wants to win her back, he should do it properly. If he doesn't want a divorce, he could just say so. Honesty is always the best approach. Instead, he chose to be sneaky and dishonest."

She turned to look at Elliot, hinting at something.

Elliot immediately understood, his expression changing as he protested, "Nana, I'm different from Nathaniel. When I wrote that goodbye letter and left Farlem, I truly thought I was going to die. I returned to Svelton to fight Uncle Peter for control of the family, fully prepared to sacrifice my life."

He added in a small voice, "That wasn't lying."

His every move and look screamed for Sheena to go easy on him.

Sheena could not help but laugh. She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck.

She teased in a soft voice, "Talking about the past makes me feel bad for you. Should I make it up to you a bit more tonight?"

Elliot held her slim waist, gently caressing.

"Aren't you sore anymore?"

"Much better now," she said, grabbing his pajama collar and pulling him toward the headboard. "Let's not waste time."

The next morning, Nathaniel woke up in pain.

He found Mavis examining his calf, her fingers occasionally poking to check for tense spots.

Without medication, the injury seemed more swollen, and the red marks had turned purple, making his entire calf look awful.

Seeing him awake, Mavis casually explained, "It's just surface wounds, but the treatment seems effective. We'll keep at it next time."

Nathaniel's Adam's apple bobbed at the thought of a next time.

He remained silent as Mavis continued, "You can sleep in with Callum. I'm going downstairs to buy groceries for breakfast. I'll wake you when it's almost ready."

As she got up to leave, Nathaniel grabbed her wrist. "Should I come with you?"
