Tommy could not care less about Evan.
He replied coldly, "Mr. Mueller, I'm aware that you're a high-ranking executive in your company, but the final decision still rests with Mrs. Nicholls. It's her call to make."
Seeing Mavis hesitate, Tommy added, "Mrs. Nicholls, Mr. Nicholls said that business and personal matters should be kept separate. This partnership is about profits, not personal feelings. Besides, even if you do end up divorcing Mr. Nicholls in two weeks, you'll need money to support yourself and Mr. Callum in Vraeyce. You know Mr. Callum enjoys the best of everything with the Nicholls family. Surely you want to provide him with the best too, don't you?"
Mavis would not let her son's quality of life decline if he came to live with her, but she still felt uneasy about the partnership that was being handed to her on a silver platter…
She did not respond immediately. Instead, she carefully reviewed the terms of the contract once more.
Even though Nathaniel claimed to separate business from personal matters, this partnership was clearly a way to funnel money to her. Instead of giving Tommy a direct answer, she turned to Evan.
"What do you think about this partnership?"
Evan quietly reminded her, "Mae, have you forgotten? We promised the Lawson Group that they'd be the only company from Froania with whom we'd partnered. We're their overseas agents. If we accept the Nicholls Group's offer now, we'd be breaking that contract."
Tommy interjected, "Mrs. Nicholls, you don't need to worry about that. The Lawson Group and the Nicholls Group have a good relationship, cooperating on multiple projects. Mr. Nicholls just needs to inform Ms. Lawson, and she'll agree. Each company can profit independently without hindering the Lawson Group's development in Vraeyce."
Evan's face darkened.
Then, Mavis turned to Dylan and asked, "Your internship starts right after this break, doesn't it? What's your take on this?"
Dylan was clear-headed and replied, "It's basically free money, so why should we turn it down? Just sign it. We're not losing anything. There's nothing to worry about."
Evan protested, "Nathaniel is full of tricks. Who knows what he's plotting? Dylan, you should be cautioning Mae."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
