Mavis could not help but burst into laughter, amused by Callum's comment.
Nathaniel remained silent throughout, the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth indicating he was listening to the conversation between the mother and son.
"What's so funny, Mommy? Did I say something wrong?" Callum asked. Though his words suggested doubt, his proud little expression showed he did not really think he had made a mistake.
"No, no, my little darling. You're absolutely right," Mavis replied, pulling Callum into her arms.
This adorable and lovable little one made her want to stay with him forever.

When Evan opened his eyes, the room was pitch black. He painfully turned his head slightly to the right, seeing a sky full of stars outside the window. The discomfort in his body and the fatigue from various tests had made him sleep from afternoon until night.
The spacious and cold room was so quiet he could hear his own breathing, and he was all alone.
An overwhelming sense of emptiness swept through his chest.
"Mae? Are you still here?" Evan called out.
Being hospitalized in a foreign country made him feel insecure, and only when Mavis was with him did he feel at ease.
However, there was no response in the large room.
Just as he thought Mavis had left, the door slowly opened, and a strip of light from the hallway entered the room.
As a silhouette appeared in the backlight, Evan's eyes widened.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
