Anna asked, "Would you like me to contact a cleaning service immediately?"
"No need," Nathaniel replied before Mavis. He rather liked the idea of enjoying a few quiet days with just the three of them, undisturbed.
Since he had declined, Mavis did not say anything more. After all, they were only staying for two days. After settling in her husband and son, Mavis headed to the office.
"Daddy, I love it here," Callum said, rolling around on the sofa.
Nathaniel wandered around, asking, "Is it really better than the Nicholls residence?"
To be honest, the two places were not even comparable.
Callum lifted his head proudly and replied, "Of course! This is where Mommy used to live. Anywhere she is will feel like home, and that's better than anywhere else."
Nathaniel smiled, not saying anything more.
The office was not far from Mavis's place, and before long, she and Anna arrived at the company.
"It's already 10 a.m. The shareholders are waiting in the conference room," Anna reminded, checking the time on her phone.
Mavis nodded. "Let's go straight there."
…
In the conference room, ten shareholders were seated.
"Everyone, it's been a while," Mavis greeted as she entered, exuding an unexpected air of authority.
It was a trait she had picked up from Nathaniel.
"Ms. Olsen, we didn't expect you to return so suddenly," the board members welcomed her warmly.
Mavis glanced at them briefly, not acknowledging their greetings.
"The company's current growth is impressive, thanks to everyone's efforts. However, I have a few announcements to make. The first matter, which I'm sure you've heard about, is the termination of Mr. Mueller's employment."
The shareholders exchanged puzzled glances, their comments coming one after another.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
