Goodbye, My Love novel Chapter 12

Ansel panicked when he heard Holly say Sabrina didn't want him anymore. He shoved her away and screamed, "You're lying! Mom would never abandon me!"

Holly stood at the top of the staircase, so Ansel made her fall backward and roll down the stairs with his shove. She screamed as blood pooled around her legs.

Ansel's gaze traveled between his hands and Holly, who lay in a puddle of blood. Then, he passed out.

When Jordan regained consciousness, he learned two things. The first was that Holly had been admitted to the hospital after suffering a miscarriage. The second was that Ansel had also ended up in the hospital after being terrorized by Holly.

He clenched his fists when he saw the handprint on Ansel's face. He grimly instructed the nanny, "Take good care of Ansel."

Then, he headed to Holly's ward. Upon waking up, she'd learned that not only had she miscarried, but she would also never be able to conceive again because of her thin uterine lining.

She was raging at a maid when Jordan entered the ward. The maid sighed in relief when she saw Jordan and greeted, "Mr. Faust."

Holly immediately put on an act when she saw him. She grabbed his sleeve and bit her lip as her eyes turned red. The tremor in her voice revealed her fragility and sorrow. "I lost our baby, Jordan. He didn't even have the chance to see this world.

"I know Ansel didn't mean it, but our baby… The doctors also told me that I'll never conceive again." Tears streamed down her face once the words were out of her mouth.

"That's perfect." At least he wouldn't need to deal with her himself.

She blanched, seemingly not expecting him to react like this. "What did you just say?"

Jordan watched her, his gaze icy. "I warned you from the beginning, Holly. I told you not to let Sabrina know about our relationship. But what did you do? As for Ansel—no one has ever dared to lay a hand on him since he was born, yet you slapped him!"

He couldn't imagine how heartbroken Sabrina would be if she were to hear about this. There wasn't any hint of tenderness in his gaze as he looked Holly in the eye and told her they were over.
