Chapter 100
Jonathan was seething with rage, his chest heaving violently. Veins bulged on his forehead as his hands trembled uncontrollably. He couldn‘ lontara single word.
Wette’s heart leaped with joy at the sight, though she put on a disappointed face. “Sophia,” she said reproachfully, “how could you space to bad the that?”
Sophia rolled her eyes and snapped impatiently, “Oh, so you’re the good one, okay? This is just how I talk. If you don’t like it, come at me.
Wette was left speechless and temporarily backed down.
Seeing Jonathan faint from rage, Sophia said with mock concern, “Jonathan, this is a hospital, you know. If you’re about to have a heart attack, just say the word and I’ll fetch a doctor for you.”
Jonathan was too furious to speak.
He closed his eyes and ordered, “Wilbur, call the PR team and have them deal with the negative online buzz.”
Wilbur was still stunned by Sophia’s lashing out at Jonathan, only snapping to attention when his name was called.
As he made the call, his eyes instinctively flicked toward Sophia.
Sophia glared at Wilbur. “What are you staring at? Jonathan told you to make the call, so why the hell are you looking at me?”
‘What a lunatic,‘ Wilbur thought.
Wilbur had assumed the Chandlers were unaware of Sophia’s madness. To his shock, the whole family knew, yet even when she nearly drove Jonathan to the brink of death with rage, he still did nothing to stop her.
‘And they still let her get away with everything? No wonder the whole Chandler family is batshit crazy,‘ Wilbur thought.
Sophia looked at Yvette with a half–smile, her expression unreadable. A chill ran down Yvette’s spine as a sense of foreboding crept over her.
Sure enough, the next moment, Yvette heard a hoarse voice calling out, “Yvette…”
Yvette shuddered violently.
Monica stumbled in, her hair a tangled mess and her whole body filthy. No one could tell what she’d been through. Her clothes were smeared with dirt and streaked with what looked like blood, and her hands were caked with grime.
Monica stormed in and immediately demanded, “Yvette, why haven’t you been answering my calls?”
Monica sobbed, “Kevin is innocent! Yes, he hurt someone, but they attacked him first. It was self–defense! But now they’re accusing him of intentional assault.” Her voice broke as she cried harder.
Monica said, “Yvette, please, you must help him! You’re the only one who can save him now.”
Yvette instinctively took several steps back at the sight of Monica, as if Monica were some repulsive creature. Oblivious to Yvette’s reaction, Monica could think of nothing but saving her son.
Sophia crossed her arms and propped up one leg, watching the show with a smirk. Adding fuel to the fire, she said, “It’s not calls. She just blocked you,”
e didn’t answer your
Dorian chuckled and mirrored Sophia’s pose. He chimed in, “She blocked you because she doesn’t want to see you. Which basically means she has no intention of saving your son.”
Yvette shot them a furious glare, her eyes burning with rage. ‘You two bastards, just you wait,‘ she seethed inwardly.

Chapter 100
Hearing this, Monica froze for a moment. She turned to Yvette and asked in a trembling voice, “Yvette, is what they’re saying true?”
Before Yvette could say a word, Sophia cut in with a smirk, “Of course it’s true. How many times have you come looking for her? Ever wonder why the security guards never let you in? That was on her orders.”
Sophia smirked and said, “You’re only able to get in right now because of me, so you should be thanking me.”
Dorian nodded. “Sophia, you’re just too kind.”
Sophia and Dorian kept up their act in perfect sync, leaving Yvette shaking with rage.
Noticing Monica’s face fall, Yvette quickly interjected, “No, Monica! That’s not true. Don’t believe them.”
Her eyes brimmed with tears, her face pitiful and on the verge of breaking down. In a trembling voice, she said, “It’s Howard–something happened to him and I just couldn’t get away. I didn’t mean to, really…”
Sophia sneered, “Oh please, if it wasn’t on purpose, then it must have been intentional. Howard only got attacked today–what, could you possibly know he’d be splashed with acid today?”
“Yvette, this is all on you. Since you supposedly knew, why didn’t you save dear Howard, the brother who supposedly dotes on you so much?
“Howard pushed you down the stairs and called you a jinx. So tell me, are you just leaving him to suffer now as payback?
“Yvette, how could you do this? That’s your own brother! You’re downright cruel!” Sophia said.
Dorian chimed in, “That innocent face masks a heart so vile and poisonous.”
Their perfectly synchronized and exaggerated act made Wilbur’s eyes twitch.
“Sophia! Dorian!” Yvette finally snapped and shrieked, “Will you two just shut up already?!”
This time, Sophia stayed silent.
Dorian shot her a glare and snapped, “Why the hell should I shut up just because you say so? Who do you think you are, talking to me like that?”
Yvette was truly driven to tears this time. If it weren’t for the setting, she would have let out a primal scream.
In the end, Jonathan couldn’t take it anymore and ordered Wilbur to deal with Monica, arranging for a lawyer to provide whatever legal assistance she
needed.
Jonathan’s gaze toward Sophia grew increasingly conflicted, a storm of emotions swirling in his eyes.
In the past, whenever Jonathan overheard people talking about Sophia, they always called her downright eerte–petty, vengeful, and definitely not someone he wanted to cross.
Because of her, his business deals went off without a hitch, though every single time, his partners couldn’t help but bring up Sophia.
Back then, he’d been so proud that Sophia could bring him benefits. But now that the tables had turned and he was the one on the receiving end, all he felt was utter humiliation.
“Jonathan,” Sophia said with a deceptively sweet smile, “The way you’re looking at me, don’t tell me you’re up to no good?”
Suddenly, Jonathan’s vision blurred. The smiling face before him merged with another from his deepest memories.
He shuddered violently, a sudden chill creeping over him. Even the color drained from his face.
