Sophia glanced at him, her gaze lingering once more on that stubborn, unyielding cowlick of his. Unable to resist, she reached out and gave it a playful ruffle. “Thanks,” she said with a smile.

Sophia didn’t actually need Dorian’s help. She fully trusted Juicy NewsHere’s capabilities. Still, she couldn’t bring herself to dampen Dorian’s

enthusiasm.

Dorian grinned. “Sophia, if anyone gives you trouble, just say the word. I’ll get Evander to handle it for you.”

Sophia had just nodded yes when Vicky called again.

Vicky only learned about the situation from trending topics. First, she asked if Sophia was hurt. After confirming she was okay, Vicky offered, “Do you need me to get you a lawyer?”

Sophia politely declined her kind offer and then asked how she was doing.

Vicky said, “Geoffrey and Amara have been detained with ironclad evidence. They can’t deny it. The doctor confirmed my poor health was caused by slow–acting poison. It’ll take years to fully recover.

“Sophia, if there’s ever anything I can do for you down the road, don’t hesitate to ask,” Vicky said gratefully.

After hanging up, Sophia looked at Dorian. It suddenly dawned on her. This time she had already saved the lives of so many people.
