Chapter 102
Chapter 102
The doctor thought to himself, ‘Well, Ms. Chandler seems in quite a hurry to get her hands on that inheritances
He said, “Ms. Chandler, there’s nothing seriously wrong with Mr. and Mrs. Chandler. They just need some rest and should wake up soon?
Sure enough. Sophia sighed in disappointment. “They’re really tough to kill, huh?”
The doctor was stunned, feeling speechless when he heard her bold words.
Sophia didn’t linger for a second after knowing they were fine. The moment she stepped out of the ward, she heard the sharp click of high heels echoing down the hallway, getting closer.
“Sophia.” Maelis, dressed in striking red, rushed up to her. “Are you okay? I just saw online that you were attacked.”
Sophia looked at Maelis, a bit surprised. “What are you doing here?”
Maelis, who wore a red dress and high heels, got closer and said warmly, “I just wanted to check if you’re okay.”
Sophia didn’t think they were that close, but Maelis, acting with easy familiarity, said, “Jerome pissed me off so much last time that I completely forgot to ask for your number. Let’s add each other so we can keep in touch.”
Sophia noticed the eager sparkle in Maelis‘ eyes–just like Dorian’s, who was standing right beside her.
Sophia took out her phone and added Maelis on WhatsApp. When she saw Maelis‘ username TheQueenisHere, she raised an eyebrow.
Dorian saw her reaction and said, “She used to call herself a princess.”
Maelis lifted her chin proudly and declared, “That’s Sophia’s influence. No more princesses, I’m all queen now!”
Maelis had to admit that she was impressed by Sophia.
Back then, she tried so hard to please Jerome, tiptoeing around him all the time but never got anything in return. It left her completely drained and depressed.
Ever since she finally stopped doing that, nothing bothered her anymore. She had been living each day happily and free.
Dorian sneered and said, “Come on, a real princess doesn’t waste her energy trying to please a man.”
Maelis nodded earnestly. “You’re absolutely right. I was such an idiot before. The nicer I was to Jerome, the more indifferent he was to me.
“Now, whenever he pisses me off, I just smack him. It just feels so good.”
Sophia suddenly thought Maelis and Dorian might have something in common, and as she expected, they hit it off and started chatting warmly.
Dorian looked genuinely happy, chatting with Maelis about some recent funny stories. He even blushed with excitement as he got more into it.
He looked more energetic than ever.
After hearing what happened, Maelis gasped in astonishment and looked at Sophia. “You got Sean to buy a top trending spot. No way, I have to get one
too.”
With that, she immediately took out her phone and called her family.
Sophia interrupted, “No need. Things are already going great.”
Maelis pouted and muttered, “Sophia, why do you accept his help but not mine? Aren’t we close friends?”

Chapter 102
Dorian stared at Sophia Intently.
Wilbur, who had been standing aside, was stunned by Maelis‘ funny words.
Sophia felt speechless. “What I mean is, Howard isn’t even worth us spending money on this crap.
Maelis nodded and said, “Exactly. I couldn’t believe he actually went after his sister. He was so evil. Honestly, I’m glad to hear that he was attacker
Dorian agreed, “He asked for it. Sophia doesn’t need a brother like him.”
Maelis clenched her fists and looked very mad. “Damn, I got here too late. If I had come earlier, I would have beat him up.”
Wilbur felt speechless, thinking, ‘No wonder they’re friends. They think exactly the same!
Wilbur thought it over carefully and quietly shuffled to the side. However, Sophia noticed it.
She said, “Wilbur.”
Hearing that gentle yet chilling voice, Wilbur knew she needed something from him again.
Sure enough, Sophia said, “Stay here and keep watch over Jonathan. And be especially wary of Yvette because she’ll be the biggest obstacle on your road to revenge.
“I’m giving you a kind reminder. You need to kick that obstacle out of your way yourself. Got it?”
Wilbur was sweating, not knowing what to say. He thought, ‘Seriously? Saying I’m out for revenge in front of everyone, huh? How is that helping me?”
He misunderstood Sophia. She was always great at loudly “plotting” things in public. That was just her style, not some scheme against him.
Wilbur said, “Ms. Sophia Chandler, I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
Sophia shrugged indifferently. “Don’t you get it? Never mind. If you betray me, I’ll just kill you.”
Cold sweat poured down Wilbur’s face as he swallowed hard. “Ms. Sophia Chandler, I have to remind you that murder is illegal.”
Sophia smiled nonchalantly. “Whatever. Jonathan will clean up my mess. Worst case, I’ll spend a few days in jail, get out, and come back after you. I’ve got money to burn, so it doesn’t really bother me.”
Wilbur thought, ‘Come on, I’m just an ordinary guy trying to get revenge. Why did I have to run into this total lunatic before I even started?‘
He felt like his chance at revenge was slipping further and further away.
Wilbur fidgeted nervously, keeping as far away from Yvette as possible. He was sure that if he didn’t do exactly what Sophia said, he would be in serious trouble.
Yvette said gently, “Wilbur, don’t listen to Sophia. You must have noticed she’s very-”
Wilbur flinched and loudly cut her off. “I didn’t notice anything, Ms. Yvette Chandler! This is your family business, and I know nothing about it.”
After saying that, Wilbur hurried into the ward.
Staring at the unconscious Jonathan and Heather, Wilbur clenched his fists. His mind, previously rattled by Sophia’s threats, finally began to settle.
Sophia left the hospital with Dorian and Maelis, unaware of Wilbur’s mental breakdown. They were heading straight for their ne
