Reborn to Burn Them All novel Chapter 70

Chapter 70

Wette said, I’m sad about the Sampson family’s money troubles too, but what can I do? If Monica has no place to stay, I’ll definitely help her

Sophia gave her a thumbs up. You’re so great at caring for others why not give some of that care to me? I’m your sister. Our bond is desp

She added, For sisterly love, send me some money.

Wette went silent. Sophia’s face turned dark right away. It’s easy to talk big when it’s not your problem. But what if one day Dad’s other child shows up. wanting part of the inheritance? Would you still support them?

Heather’s face turned pale, her breath quickening. Sophia, stop talking nonsense.

Sophia, seeing Heather’s fear, grinned slyly. Relax, I’m just imagining things.”

She said, Imagine this, Heather: Jonathan brings his mistress’s child into our home, asking you to raise them while he and the mistress keep having an affair. Could you really handle that? Wouldn’t you kick that child out of the family?

Heather’s face went pale. For the first time, she looked at Yvette with a bit of disappointment.

Yvette, hurt by her mother’s look, said with a sad face, Mom, that’s not what I meant. Plus, Dad loves you so muchhe’d never do anything to hurt you.

Heather’s expression twisted with different feelings. When her eyes caught Sophia’s mocking look, embarrassment washed over her. Enough. Just stop talking, she snapped.

Heather tried to leave, but Sophia wasn’t going to let her go that easily. She followed Heather to her room, leaning against the doorframe with a smirk. Heather, don’t forgetyou still owe me that allowance.

Sophia’s words hit Heather like a shock from the past, bringing up a memory she wanted to forget. It was about Mireille, a name she never wanted to hear again.

Heather’s eyes flickered as she looked at Sophia, her voice shaky. How much do you know?

Sophia’s smile sharpened, her tone playful. Pay up, and we’ll see.

Heather clenched her teeth, her anger barely controlled. I’ll give you tonight.

Sophia shook her head, standing firm. Even a minute late, I’ll have a nice chat with Jonathanabout Mireille.

I’ll give you now,Heather shouted, her hands shaking as she grabbed her phone to make the call.

Sophia’s grin grew wider, her satisfaction clear. Heather, you really know how to show off that richlady style.

Heather was boiling with anger. Just tell me.

Tell what?

Sophia!Heather barked, her voice sharp.

Sophia’s grin widened even more. The money hasn’t hit my account yet.

She stepped closer to Heather, her tone deceptively sweet. You were so careful back then, weren’t you? Sneaking her away in the dark. But tell me, did you ever check if she was carrying Jonathan’s child?

Heather froze, her mind going blank for a moment.

Years ago, Jonathan was set up by a rival company and ended up in a dangerous situation. Mireille saved him. Within three days, Jonathan and Mireille slept together.

Chapter 70-

When Heather found out, she was furious. But she didn’t dare confront him, scared he’d leave her. So, after Jonathan Cama bast of CREAT Mireille disappeared, Even Jonathan never suspected anything,

Heather thought, How does Sophia know about this? Her mind raced, but before she could ask, she realized Sophie had already gone,

She wondered, Could Sophia really have some kind of special ability? She dismissed the idea as silly.

Sophia looked at the three million that just went into her account, a happy smile on her face. She spent the whole afternoon upstairs, focused on her own plans, while the Chandler residence was unusually quiet and calm.

That night, Howard’s loud screams broke the silence, sending chills through everyone. For several nights, he had been haunted by the same ghosta ghost with Yvette’s face.

She crept in through the window, appeared on the TV, and hung eerily in midair.

No matter how she appeared, the result was always the same: Yvette’s face would start to rot, the skin and flesh melting away bit by bit until it turned into a puddle of blood right in front of Howard’s eyes.

The next morning, Sophia woke up to shouting and crying. She rolled over, pulled the blanket over her head, and went back to sleep.

Lately, she hadn’t had nightmares. Her sleep was deep and peacefulshe could fall asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

It felt almost magical.

In the hallway, Howard sat slumped in his wheelchair, his wrinkled pajamas hanging loosely on his frail body. His hair was a tangle, his face thin, with sunken eyes and rough skin.

The cosmetic procedures he had trusted had completely failed, leaving his face droopy and lifeless. He was a disaster. Dark circles were under his eyes, making him look spooky.

Yvette came down the stairs, only to stop in her tracks when she saw him staring at her with an intense, almost predatory look.

Howard’s eyes fixed on her, cold and relentless. It’s you,he muttered darkly.

Yvette cautiously took a step closer. Howard lunged forward, his hand gripping her neck tightly. His eyes blazed with crazy anger. It’s you. You’re the ghost. Why are you haunting me? Why won’t you leave me alone?

Yvette froze in fear. His grip tightened around her throat, making it hard to breathe. HHoward, she managed to say, barely audible.

Why are you haunting me? Why?Howard’s voice was a harsh roar, his hands tightening painfully around her neck. His face twisted in anger. I treated you so well. Why are you doing this to me?
